ヨーロッパで一番有名なファッション・スクールといえば、ベルギーのアントワープにあると聞いたことがあります。
I have heard that the most famous fashion school in Europe is located in Antwerp, Belgium.

でも今日は、ロンドンの二大ファッション・スクールのご紹介。東京でいうところの「東京モード学園」と「文化服装学園」みたいなものでしょうか・・・（バンタンデザイン研究所もあったかっ!）

However, I today introduce two of London's most famous fashion college. It is similar to Tokyo Mode Gakuen and Bunka Fashion College, isn't it?! (Sorry, there is Vantan Design Institute in Tokyo too)

一つ目は、デザイナーを目指しファッションの勉強をしにロンドンに留学する日本人留学生の間で最も人気のある（日本人がかなりいる）セントラル・セイント・マーチン・カレッジ。今、離婚訴訟で揉めている（元ビートルズのメンバー）ポール・マッカートニーさんのお嬢さんステラ・マッカートニーさんの卒業校をとしても知られています。

One of them is Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, which is the most popular among Japanese students with the aim of becoming a fashion designer. Also this college is well-known as a college Stella McCartney graduated from. (She is the daughter of former Beatle Sir Paul McCartney)

実は、私、一年以上、このカレッジの真ん前にあるバス停で毎日下車していたので、よく、不思議な格好の学生やヘンテコな（校舎の）ショー・ウィンドウ・ディスプレーをみておりました。

Actually I had been getting off the bus in front of the college everyday more than one year, so I saw many wondering fashion style students and a funny window display of the college.

ご存知の方も多いでしょうが、ファッション・スクールでは、締め括りの卒業作品を発表する場として、ファッション・ショーを設けますが（昔、私も文化服装を卒業する友人の作品を見に行ったことがあります）、ステラ・マッカートニーさんの卒業作品を着て現れたモデルというのが、前代未聞！英国を代表するスーパーモデルのナオミ・キャンベル、ケイト・モス、ヤスミン・ル・ボン。

Generally the fashion school holds the graduation runway show for anchoring the studying. The unprecedented thing was that her graduation collection was modeled by supermodels Naomi Campbell, Yasmin Le Bon and Kate Moss - for free - at the graduation runway show.

普通の学生は、そこそこ見栄えがしそうな何てことない自分の友人に（無償で）頼むので、素人の一般人ですよ、普通の。でも、彼女の依頼した（無償の）モデル達は、さすが！スーパーモデルの面々。

Usually students ask to their friends who moderately make a good, but her models were professionals, and even more supermodels.

気を取り直して、二校目。ロンドン・カレッジ・オブ・ファッション。ロンドン大学の一つに属するカレッジですが、メイン校舎の場所をご存知？ロンドンを訪れたことのある人なら、絶対に、この前を通っているはずです。

Next is London College of Fashion which is under the University of London. Absolutely you can have passed in front of this college before.

オックス・フォード・ストリートにあるジョン・ルイス百貨店の（オックスフォード・サーカス駅寄りの）隣のビルの二階から上が、そのガレッジ。

This is located on next to the department store John Lewis (direction for Oxford Circus Sta.). The college is on the first floor and above.

一階は、Bh's とかカードショップが入っている建物です。二階建てのロンドンバスに乗っていなと気がつきづらいですが・・・

On the ground floor, there are Bh's and a card shop etc. It is difficult to note the college unless you get on the double decker.

話を戻して、ステラ・マッカートさんのブティックは、ニュー・ボンド・ストリートをバークレイ・スクエアに向かって入ったBruton Street にあります。

By the way, the boutique of Stella McCartney is located on Bruton Street between New Bond Street and Berkeley Square.
